Review of Flash Game: Zomgies 2

Working the night shift is bound to give you strange dreams. You never know what you will encounter on your way to work. Some nights, you may encounter a hoard of green creatures with their lips sticking out called "Zomgies". These no longer human creatures bite and eventually rip your head off as you try to kill them all. But don't be scared. Instead have some fun. Like the hero (or victim) of the game says while sprinting down the street, egging the Zomgies on, this would make an awesome game.

The game certainly isn't easy, but it is fun. It is even more difficult than the first Zomgies. The most notable differences between the two games is the graphics and the way you aim. These changes are definitely both great additions to the format. As you progress through the different levels and unlock more weapons, the game becomes even more challenging. But don't worry about dying, the main character is delighted to fight these flesh eating creatures and have the same nightmare over and over again. There is a multitude of weapons to destroy the creatures with; from flame throwers to machine guns. This keeps the game interesting. As you progress through the levels, new species of zombies appear. There are the larger Zomgies, who don't die as easily, the jumpers, who literally leap across your screen, the evil babies, and a few others. All this adds depth and entertainment to the game. Another notable thing is the dark yet bold colors of the background. Everything is dark except the Zomgies. This makes the game very aesthetically pleasing. The music is kind of fun too although it seems to blend into the background a bit too easily.

The most negative aspect of the game is the controls. If you don't have a gaming set up, or good mouse, it can be very difficult. Another minor flaw is that the purpose of the antidotes is never really explained. Luckily, this is not too big of a deal since you can always go back to levels you have already beaten so you can collect them all and beat the game fully.

Hints and Tips:

Take full advantage of the car when you have it. It is much easier to get across the level and collect antidotes with it than on foot.

Experiment with different weapons on different types of Zomgies. Some weapons are better at killing different types of Zomgies.

The easiest way to get through each level is to zig zag across the street while shooting. Not only will the Zomgies bunch up, which makes them easier to explode, but it will help prevent the jumpers from getting you.

Barrels are the most effective way to kill Zomgies. Shoot lots of them.
