Review of Free Flash Game: Doodle God 2

If you enjoyed Doodle God 1, then you'll enjoy the sequel. The first portion of the game is almost identical to Doodle God 1. The most notable difference between the two games is that instead of creating 115 elements within 14 groups, you now have to create 196 elements within 21 groups. A few elements from first Doodle God are removed and some elements are added from Doodle Devil.

I loved the continuation of the sayings of some great figures in history such as Shakespeare, Siddhartha Gautama, and Coleridge each time an element is created. If the element is not humorous, the quote that accompanies its creation almost always is. Of course, there are some elements that you can't help but love to create. A few of my favorites are alcoholic + ship = pirate or firearm + vodka = Russian roulette. Although some of the new elements are humorous and witty, creating them can be frustrating. The game gets confusing in the third episode. In which elements that previously could not be combined, now must be combined to beat the game.

Overall the game is enjoyable. The new features and elements add enough to the game to make fans of the original Doodle God and even Doodle Devil come back for more. If you're new to the series, you won't be lost starting mid series. The rules of the game may sound simple, but don't start playing Doodle God 2 unless you are looking for a challenge. It is not as easy as it sounds!

A Few Tips for beating the game

Develop a system early on for discovering new elements. It is tedious, but in the end, when there are literally hundreds of different possible combinations, it will save you a lot of time. One possibility is each time a new element is discovered, go back and mechanically try to combine it with all previously discovered elements.

Another Tip is in the third episode, don't forget to try and combine elements that previously could not be merged. Of course, whenever you get stuck, the game has the single light bulb in the toolbar, which brings up two categories. With the right combination, at least two elements may be combined to create a new element.

If that seems like cheating and you want more of a challenge, there is the new double light bulb, which tells you an element you have to create. It is up to you to figure out how to create it.
